India-Pakistan Cyber Tit-for-Tat Continues

Attacks on airports

After the websites of two Indian airports were defaced by Pakistani hacker group Pak Cyber Attackers on 28 December 2016, Indian hacker group Mallu Cyber Soldiers responded by hacking the website of the Sialkot International Airport in Pakistan on 29 December 2016. The website's password was changed, and the login information made public. Following that, hackers believed to be affiliated to Pakistan defaced the website of India's National Security Guard with an offensive message criticising India Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 1 January 2017. The next day, Indian hackers retaliated by hacking and injecting ransomware on at least three Pakistani airport websites.
