Canadian Utility's IP Address Compromised By Russian Hackers

During an investigation into the alleged hacking of the US Democratic National Committee, the US Department of Homeland Security and the FBI discovered an IP address used by Canadian electricity distributor Hydro One had been compromised by Russian hackers. Hydro One said that the IP address was not active, and it was not connected to the power grid in Ontario, Canada where it is based. The investigation later identified six other compromised Canadian IP addresses, including one from an unidentified internet service provider.
